2021 Fees

3 Year-Old Session Fees

Under the current government funding schemes for Early Childhood Education, 3 year-old kindergarten or playgroups receive no funding. Please be aware that kindergarten's 3 year-old sessions are solely funded by parent/family contributions and rely on prompt payment of fees to meet the operational costs. All parents/guardians must pay fees and the Kurboroo Committee of Management (The Committee) has the discretion to withdraw service for non-payment of fees, as per our Fees Policy and Enrolment Policy.

Fee Structure for 2021

$1640.00 per annum with a $100 Maintenance Levy (refundable upon attendance at a working bee during the year)

Throughout the year there may be excursions/incursion that are not covered by the fees.  These are to be paid for by parent/guardian as required. In order to secure a place in the program, a deposit of $100 is payable upon receipt of an offer. This money will be deducted from the first installment and the balance of Term 1 fees of $310 must be paid at the Annual General Meeting, to be held in November. Second, third and fourth term fees of $410 are payable prior to the beginning of each term. Please refer to the full Fees Policy for more information.

Fee Subsidies (3 year old program)

The following three year old children are eligible for a free kindergarten program:

  • Children known to Child Protection (including children referred from Child Protection to Child FIRST) or

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children

4 Year-Old Session Fees

The Department of Education and Training (DET) provides per capita funding as a contribution towards the cost of providing the preschool program for four year olds. The DET, in conjunction with government, review the funded hours and the funding provided per child on an annual basis. The service is responsible for all other costs.

Fees are necessary because there is a shortfall between the level of government funding and the costs of operating a viable preschool. Please  aware that 4 year-old kindergarten sessions do require family/parent financial contribution and rely on prompt payment of fees to meet the operational costs. All parents/guardians must pay fees and the Kurboroo Committee of Management (The Committee) has the discretion to withdraw service for non-payment of fees. Please refer to the full fees policy for more information.
